‘Pakistan’s petroleum prices lowest among fuel-importing countries’

Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said on Tuesday that the government was providing fuel to the public on the lowest price among all the fuel-importing countries.

Talking to a news channel, he said that Pakistan knocked off Rs 5 per litre on petrol while the neighbouring India had reduced just four paisas per litre.

He said that it was the wrong perception that the advantage of global price reduction was not being passed on to the common man. He said that the price of petrol had decreased by Rs 42 since the current government came to power.
