Strike occurs in Badin upon Mirza’s call, supporters protest

A shutter down strike is being observed today (Monday) on Zulfiqar Mirza’s call (former home minister), for registration of cases against him, local media sources reported.

Businesses have been closed down in the Badin district, while the supporters burned tyres on roads and blocked the traffic, sources claimed.

On Sunday, Badin police registered cases against Mirza and his supporters under Anti-Terrorism Act on charges of attacking a police station and forcibly shutting down markets in the district, according to local media sources.

Mirza has refused to surrender before police, according to sources.
