Security forces killed at least 15 suspected militants and destroyed three hideouts in operations conducted in the Khyber and Orakzai tribal regions on Sunday.
At least seven suspected militants were killed during an operation conducted in the Sipah Lakhkar area of the Khyber Agency.
Military jets bombarded several targets in Orakzai Agency’s Mamozai area, destroying three suspected hideouts. Eight alleged militants were killed during the blitz.
Security sources said that search operations were conducted at Lundo Qamar, Arghanjo and Adamkhel areas of the Upper Orakzai Agency.
Security forces have been fighting Taliban militants in the region, and have cleared most of the areas. However, the remaining areas are being targeted in the ongoing offensives.
